How it Works with Home Care Packages
Our in-home meal preparation services can be accessed via the Home Care Package (HCP) Program.
By creating healthy meals in your kitchen, we help you build independence and improve nutrition. Home Care Package funds can potentially be used for meal prepatation services when required due to age-related functional decline, delivered by an accredited provider, and not concurrently funded by another government program.

How does 'help at home' work for people on Home Care Packages?
Help at home for people on Home Care Packages (HCPs) is a system designed to support older Australians with complex needs to live independently in their own homes. The process typically begins with an assessment to determine an individual’s care needs, which then leads to the allocation of a specific package level and associated budget.

Once a package is assigned, the individual, known as the care recipient, works with an approved provider to develop a care plan. This plan outlines the services needed and how the package funds will be used. A Home Care Agreement is put in place between the provider and the care recipient, which details the services to be provided and can generally only be varied by mutual consent after consultation.
A wide range of support services can be funded through a package, tailored to individual needs, which might include “Food Preparation in the Home”.
